`Meriva later cutback anger GM'

Panic seems has been struck now nevertheless real in GM-hoofdkwartier in Detroit. Not only the American branch incurs damage during the cleansing process, also in Europe the hand on the knip goes. The victim is the Opel Meriva.

That communicates Automobilwoche. The new Opel Meriva come but the planned introduction in spring does not continue. The mpv van Opel come now a year later than planned and in spring of 2010. The reason is that the Executive Board of General engines does not consider the Meriva as a vital model, either such as the new Saab 9-5. Car also that comes just in 2010, a thick year later than planned.

The Opel Astra are according to GM wé l a vital car, therefore that incurs as yet no delay. The introduction of the Astra is for the IAA in September and in December 2009 the compact middenklasser in the showrooms appears. How nijpend the situation at Opel is, becomes clear, however, from the fact that the mark has knocked at association chancellor Angela Merkel for state support.
